Soft blackout curtains?

Is there such a thing? Looking for new curtains for my bedroom. I have dunelm blackout curtains in my lounge and I hate them. Creases never really came out of them and they don’t hang nicely.

Next are good

I bought some lovely non blackout curtains and simply lined them with blackout material.

Get some made, then you can choose the material. Mine are lovely and soft and fully lined.

Agree with Next. On the pricier side but quality is lovely. I’ve got some in living room that are literally soft (husband reckons they made a nice blanket). They’ve got a small bit of texture to them but are just a plain colour and they have dropped the creases nicely.

What type of Dunelm blackout curtains do you have (are they single thickness for instance)?
All our curtains are Dunelm M2M and they hang just fine. The curtain material was chosen from their (large) range and then paired with an ivory blackout lining. All are heavyweight (large windows) and look lovely.
Had similar at our last house hence why we had no hesitation buying from them again.

Thanks everyone, I’ll take a look at Next.

My Dunelm ones were ready made, so maybe not as nice as the made to measure ones. Single thickness and very stiff and took hours to get the creases out. Can’t really use the tie backs with them as they just don’t hang nicely.

I agree about the Dunelm ones. Just sent some back. Horrible fabric.

If you want a good value version the JL ready made ones are good:

Theyre a robust woven fabric but they hang nicely and are great value.

I’ve got the dunhelm solar ones they did take a bit to settle but for price there fine
dont know if it makes a difference but they get a lot of direct sun so they did soften up quickly

That's what I have as well. The blackout lining isn't soft, but the curtains are. The blackout material makes a huge difference.
