Light, bright blue for south-facing bedroom?

Can anyone recommend a nice shade of blue for a child’s bedroom? The room is south-facing with a bay window so plenty of light. I think a light but bright blue would look good. Maybe something like Farrow and Ball Lulworth Blue - though would prefer Dulux in his room as it’ll be more hard wearing! I’ll be buying testers, obviously, but has anyone used a shade they’d recommend?

I had a tester of this one and I think it’s a beautiful blue

We have Farrow and Ball's Light Blue in Dead Flat in our son's West facing bedroom.

Lulworth blue is beautiful. We have it in a south facing bathroom and it makes me smile every time I go in.

Those all look lovely! @Offcom , how have you found that paint in terms of coverage and durability? I’m a bit worried about anything “nice” getting knocked and looking scuffed.

I have this in a south facing bedroom. It’s gorgeous. It’s difficult to tone with fabrics with other blues through it though.

Dulux Azure Sky is a set of light to dark colours, the 4/5 are lovely and clear without being too OTT.

@TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams thank you - that’s good to know on both accounts.

@NotMeNoNo - I think I picked up one of those colour strips for this in Wickes! That’s pretty much the kind of shade I had in mind - thank you. I don’t want it to look “cold”, if that makes sense. But it’s a room that gets plenty of light.

If anyone is keen, I’d love to see some pictures of lulworth blue. Especially in a bedroom. I’m flipping between that and a soft sage. I can’t visualise a room full of the colour but don’t want to do a feature wall. Great thread OP. Thanks :)

Coverage is great - can’t speak to durability but as it’s a Dulux colour you could get it mixed in Dulux Trade Diamond Matt, which my friends with children tell me is the only thing they’d use on kid-adjacent walls

There’s a new F&B blue called Kakelugn which is gorgeous and lighter than Lulworth Blue. Borrowed Light is also very pretty but has more green tones.

You could also look at:

Blue no 14 from Lick
Morning Blue or Lambeth Walk from Mylands

Personally I don’t rate F&B paint and get it copied instead
