We have had Google home for a number of years now and used to love it but slowly features have been cut, cookbook etc and now I feel it's just a glorified digital photo frame in my kitchen! I would like to switch but the main feature I want to keep is a video doorbell. My nest doorbell isn't great anymore, by the time it connects the person is usually gone!

Is it only really Alexa that competes out there? We don't have any Apple products at home, What else do people have that they would recommend?

Tia :)

Ours is a reolink and doesn't have a monthly subscription. Its android, we too have no apple products. DH is into tech and its connected to our homeassist system. I've heard good things from eufy brand too.

I have a eufy - does the job

Uggh Nest totally agree - whenever there’s any action it wants you to log back in (multiple times) I don’t understand why when it’s the closest device to the router. Aldi the Halloween and Christmas chimes have stopped working.

the guardian currently has a review of video doorbells, see what you think

Also vote for Eufy - no subscription required if you get the storage box that goes into your router, and the video quality is good.
