Hi
We are thinking of wooden venetian blinds with tapes for the front window (and upstairs) in wood colour. Yay or nay? We have a lot of wooden, especially dark like teak, furniture and the walls are white.

I had blinds at my old house, hated them, the light/sun always seemed to find its way in and shine on the tv, etc, now got curtains so much nicer

@restbiteinteresting. We had some nice thick curtains there but got tired of them and also I found it difficult and heavy to draw/undraw them every day!

how about have blinds and curtains? then you can just close them when you want😄

Won't they just end up being dust magnets? That's what puts me off them.

I've got vertical blinds, they were there when I moved in 10 years ago and I just can't decide what to replace them with as I don't really like them.

I kept thinking it would be venetian blinds I'd change to but I know they can be dust traps so I am at a loss as to what to actually go for.

I'm completely stuck which is why I've had them for 10 long years ...

We have blinds and curtains. It means you have a variety of ways to increase or reduce light and can still have the warmth of drawing the curtains in winter.

one of the downsides to Venetian blinds is the amount of dust that collects on them, and they are tricky to clean. I prefer Roman blinds personally, but they don’t give the same options for down and tilted/ some privacy.

What about shutters? They were a game changer for us. You can get them in any colour.
