I have the sander on order!

I have wood boards on my sitting room/study floors that have been oiled pine. So dated. Am going for a darker colour (furniture red/gold/cream with dark wood).

Once I’ve sanded, what is the best floor stuff to use? Do I need to sand back to board or just score?

Ooooh no idea on what to use but I loved sanding my floors and it’s still one of my favourite things I’ve done in our house! We have pine floorboards upstairs, and we uncovered an original parquet under a tiled floor during lockdown!

I have no experience of refinishing floors but plenty of... wooden furniture. I think that you will need to remove the current finish if you want a durable surface.

Osmo Polyx Oil is my go-to.

Thank you! Plan is score the floors (sand deeper in some areas where there’s damage) then oil.

im looking at that product, great advice!
