Adult bunk bed help needed

We've got to DD's that share a small double bedroom. They've had bunk beds for years now to free up floor space. Small double on the bottom, normal single up top.

All things fine until the eldest goes to Uni and gives the small double to the youngest (15). Eldest has tried to sleep in the single up top when she comes home, but just can't do it. No arguments yet, but my DD15 doesn't want to give up the small double... and DD19 gets it. DD19 is back for a while, so want to sort this before it escalates...

Considering double bunks - has anyone had any positives? I've done searches, but I'd prefer a recommendation, if anyone has any?

Thanks all!

Have you got room for two small doubles in the room? I’d probably just lose the floor space to do
that tbh - one of them could even be a sofa bed so it’s not out all the time when your eldest is away?

Thanks @twigsand. Sadly the room is a little small. We thought about getting two singles again or the small double plus a day bed, that will be a 'sofa' when DD19 goes back to uni.

Favoring the bunks because it gives each of them some personal space, too. Something I hadn't considered when we went to the bunks rather than the two singles, it does give them private space.

Edit-Sorry, I misread your OP. I can see you were already considering double bunks.

How about a study bed or Murphy bed for one of them? Them it could fold away for the rest of the time.

Fab! May I ask where you bought from?
