Is this rug a bad idea?

Love this runner, but it's not deemed "washable". It's spot clean only. Is it a bad idea for the hallway where there's heavy footfall from young kids, pets and 1 wfh parent?

I would assume that the cream colour would soon become a greyish/brown from dirt and stains. You could risk a gentle machine wash, but it could also just fall apart!

Well it’s not very sturdy - can see kids and pets skidding on it if they’re running around but I think the pattern colour and fabric are really nice. You could get it and just think you’ll have it till it looks too bad and see how it goes.

Didn't even think of how slippy it would be! Damn, between that and the dirt, it's a no-go. But I love the pattern! Is there a similar alternative??

Have you looked at Ruggable? I’ve got a runner in my hall, not had to wash it yet but that was a big plus choosing it. Loads of designs so I’m sure there’s something similar.
