Has anyone ever used this pre paid service to build ikea furniture? Was it ok? Thank you

Yes, we did. I could not face the thought of DH spending 6 hours, going

”F this, f that. They haven’t sent enough screws….”

It was well worth it, to have someone do it calmly and quietly in a third of the time! The bloke was really nice, with a great rapport with animals! It was the first time, our male cat didn’t run away and hide upstairs, with a male tradesman in the house! We were astonished!

However, I guess it depends on the individual?

I’ve used it loads (before it was owned by ikea) my friend worked as a tasker for years - in fact that’s how we met! I hired him to come to the office I managed as a sort of handyman and we ended up becoming friends over the 2 years he worked there (his wife had a baby same time as me and we all ended up quite close)

have had some taskers round to do a bit of gardening for us as well and someone to do some ikes furniture! Never had any issues

Omg the woman from Task Rabbit who did my Pax wardrobes was so incredible, couldn’t believe how fast she was – and she did a great job. I was like, give me a shout if you need a second person for any of it but nope, she didn’t need me at all.

Took leave of my senses and decided to do the next one myself. Still annoyed with myself!

There are Task Rabbits on Reddit bragging about their PB times assembling Pax. Would definitely be into this as an Olympic event

Yes for a particularly hard to assemble day bed - brilliant!

biedrona · 29/03/2025 18:33

yes, for particularly tricky corner sofa. 2 hours, probably paid £60, well worth it

Yes for a wardrobe. Quite amazing!
