We’d like to get a double mattress from ikea for our son. His current one is terrible and ready for the tip so anything is an improvement.
which one would you recommend?

We just bought the Vagstranda one. It was about £320, versus the one a level down. Thicker by a few cm and comfy. We got medium for our tiny 11 yo, I’d be tempted to get firm if it’s for a bigger teen.

@yoshiblue thank you, that’s really helpful. Definitely need a firm then as he’s 6 ft 3

No problem. Scandi people actually have firm/extra firm mattresses by default, with a topper. I was crippled for a week on a recent holiday to Denmark 😂 I think Ikea medium is a soft medium, so for a 6ft 3ft definitely a firm.

Why Ikea? Genuine question, I love ikea and nearly everything in the house is from there- however because it was easier to get ordered and delivered I got these mattresses- they’re amazing, the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on and really luxurious.

@Lamelie thank you for the link. I’ll have a look. Just thought of ikea mattress as we slept on one in Portugal and it was comfy and they’re not a bad price
