What colour sofa and rugs to go with very dark grey laminate floor? Help!

What colour sofa and rugs would you suggest to go with very dark grey flooring that can't be changed and is actually in good condition? Would like to make the currently empty room look more warm and inviting.

I have pale sage green walls and blinds. My sofa and armchairs are deep maroon. It is very restful.

I was thinking a maroon sofa might be nice!

I agree that maroon would be great with dark grey flooring. Depending on the wall colour/s, I would have some deep teal or saffron cushions and as vivid a rug and curtains that I could find.
