Is glass pendant lighting better than solid shades for kitchen peninsular lighting? The hob will be on there. We are having spotlights throughout so these are extra. Can’t stand thought of there not being enough light.

I love the look of the solid pendants, the big old vintage factory lights. However we stayed in a holiday house that had them and the light only went down on the counter. Maybe okay if you have spotlights, but we were only having wall lights.

We have fluted glass, and dimmer switches (highly recommend those) and the light varies between nice and bright and a nice glow, depending on how dim we have them.

What size is your island? Do you know what size you need for the scale of it, and two or three lights?
