Just received a made to measure Roman blind and realised I had the dimensions mixed up by 2 digits 1860 instead of 1680 on the width, so too big and it’s fit to window, is there such a business that can adjust this type of error? gone back to supplier and they said they couldn’t help! The extra measurement insurance wasn’t available

I make my own roman blinds, by the time you have made the adjustments it would have been just as easy to make the whole thing from scratch I'm afraid.

A local curtain maker might agree to take your current one apart and resize it to save you the cost of the fabric again but I would expect it to cost almost the same as buying from scratch due to the time needed to spend unpicking it all. They might ask you to purchase new rods/header rails/strings etc as they tend to come as a all in one kit. They may also just take a hacksaw to the header rail and rods as ultimately that's how you size them to the right size in the first place!

Does the extra width give the option of fitting outside of the window recess?

In future go to your local curtain and blind maker first as they measure up and come and fit them as well to avoid these kinds of errors
