Hammonds or Sharps fitted living

Hello all,

Just wondering if anybody has had any fitted living (living room) furniture done, and if so what the price range was.

We are looking to have a shaker style media wall put in, nothing too snazzy just a space for TV, shelving up the sides and storage space along the bottom.
We also have a bay window with potential to have a seat put in which I know Hammond's do.

We went into store to hammonds and was absolutely pounced upon, they were skirting around the cost without a home visit. We were able to give measurements and ideas of what we wanted, and just requested a ballpark amount, but to no avail.
Of course it was the usual, if you book a visit today we can offer 50% off but we politely declined.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Alternative option- we paid a local carpenter £1600 for a custom TV unit to house internet/cabling etc in an awkward corner and cupboards/shelving either side of a fireplace (wonky house so custom was important).

We are delighted with the outcome!

Same as pp. We got Hammonds / sharps (can’t remember which) round for a wardrobes quote and they were just so pushy and annoying, and actually what they were selling wasn’t actually bespoke, I said “can we have a drawer like this” and they were all “no you don’t want that, you should have this shoe rack, all women like them like that haha, and we don’t sell that anyway”.
So we got local carpenter and he was amazing. And cheaper.
