Asbestos in wallpaper?

Hi,

Just moved in to a property & need to strip the wall of lining paper. There are 2 layers of paper but have just panicked and thought about risk of asbestos in the paper?? The house was built in 1890's so has been redecorated a lot since then. Any ideas whether or not this is a risk?

I've never heard of asbestos in wallpaper. You might find this useful re. where it was used in domestic properties

We had asbestos in tiles and ceilings. We took a test from Amazon, not sure you can see asbestos?

Do you mean lead or arsenic in the wallpaper? (Which could be in there if it's very old - I think you can get testing kits).
