Help choosing dining room light

I could do with some suggestions for a ceiling light.

We have a large living/dining room. In the living room end we have three wall lights with no ceiling light. I’m replacing the current wall lights with these from B&Q, just as an inexpensive option until I can make my mind up about how I want the lighting long term.

The dining area of the room has a very old fashioned/ugly ceiling pendant with 3 lights, and no wall lights, so I’m looking for something to replace it with that compliments the wall lights at the other end of the room. There is a ceiling light in the same B&Q range but we don’t really like it, and I think it would be too small for the area.

The room is basically cream colours throughout with some dark elements such as cusions, curtain rods, etc.

Budget is undetermined but I’d rather keep on the lower side of things.

Very have lovely ceiling lights in that would go with your wall lights.

We are renovating and I feel the pain! Could you get a ceiling light you like, but replace the bulb with a vintage one similar to the B&Q one?

How high is the ceiling? Do you want something hanging or flush with the ceiling?

@Darkclothes it's so hard trying to make sure you don't make the wrong choice and end up spending money on something you hate isn't it.

I prefer to have a hanging light, I like the one in the first link you've sent. Our ceiling is quite low so I need to be careful not to pick something that's going to just end up being the cause of endless head injuries 😂
