Hello. We are about to exchange on a Victorian ground floor conversion flat (there is one below us) - popped in today to take some measurements and realised the bathroom which is internal - no window / external walls doesn't have a ventilation fan. I don't think illegal as converted in 1997 but anyone have any clue on costs to vent something between rooms to the outside world? Panicking a bit on numbers so any advice would be hugely appreciated. Thanks so much!

It depends on how far away from an outside wall it is but I would think it should be hundreds rather than thousands. You will have to have an ugly boxes in section through the other room though and if it's a conservation area, you might not be allowed to have it coming out of the front of the house.

Also it's worth considering the noise and it's impact on your neighbours.

We had a Georgian basement flat years ago, internal unvented bathroom. We just ran a dehumidifier in the flat close to the bathroom. Not ideal maybe but it's a quick and easy solution for now?
