Green lounge - what colour hall?

We currently have our lounge painted in Little Greene Ambleside which is a mid green with a bluish tinge.

We have a hallway/stairs with panelling on the bottom half. I'm looking for a colour for the bottom to complement the green. Would you go for a neutral? More green? Blue?

I'm currently a bit stumped but I need to make a decision & order some paint!

Our hallway is Dulux Rock Salt which is a neutral with a hint of blue grey, something like that might complement the blue tone of the Ambleside?

It's hard to visualise the space, but were you thinking of hanging something in the hallway, e.g. framed prints or drawings?

If so, you might consider Little Greene Wood Ash, which is a Related White on the Ambleside web page. Looks a nice subtle colour and would probably set off the lounge attractively.

Oh yeah forget what I said. @ShrubRose's suggestion is better!

We've got Salix little green in our living room. Hallway and kitchen were finished last week. Dulex cotton white ( I tried every single white on the planet) and LG blush for above picture rail and panneling. LG hicks blue in the kitchen. Jr all flows really well together

Thanks for the suggestions - I'm going to have a look at them all. I'm after a slightly darker colour for the bottom half..

It's F&B elephants breath on the bottom half/dulux timeless on top currently.

Here's a pic as it stands. I could just keep it like this as it does flow well but I fancy a change!

Not sure if it's what you were thinking of, but Pearl Colour Dark looks beautiful and would go well with Ambleside, imo.
