Hi we live in a mid terrace 1930s house with a galley kitchen with a fireplace with a back boiler. We would like to remove the fireplace and boiler
and knock down the wall between the kitchen and dining room and add an island to make one room. Does anyone know the rough costs for this sort of job ,we are in Chichester West Sussex

We did this a few years ago, builder, extra kitchen units, a large island and nice worktop came to £15k. I’d imagine with inflation being what it is you’d be looking at more, but depends on the island you choose, if you want power running to it, lights over it etc.
