Dressing table lighting - what do you recommend?

I'm finally getting a dressing table and wont have to do my make-up in a tiny mirror and I really want to get the lighting right. I'd like the the lights to be bright enough (its a dingy north facing room) with the option of warm and cool lights but I dont really want a hollywood style mirror with the round bulbs all around. I did stay in a hotel room once which had a great make-up station with a mirror with lighting all round in a solid light (if that makes sense). I think it's called a halo mirror. So my question is - what do you have and what should I avoid? And can I get a bathroom mirror as those are the only ones I've found with lights or is that going to look odd in a bedroom? I'd really like it wall mounted to minimise clutter.

I feel this kind of thing might be practical but might look a bit odd in a bedroom? https://bathemp.ca/product/fleurco-60-36-mhap6036-halo-mirror/

Going round in circles and this is only a small thing but I know i'll regret it if I dont get proper lighting so please help me decide what to get. Thanks!

I was the same and ended up buying a mirror I liked that suited the room. I then bought a clip-on bulb socket (not sure if that is the right name?) and a daylight bulb. I just unclip and put away when not using.

THanks @fooks! That does sound like a good back-up plan, I'd just love to find something that looks ok and has built-in lighting if at all possible. There's always so much stuff out that adding another thing in the form of lights is something I'd like to avoid if i can.

I have a pill-shaped bathroom mirror with lights on the wall behind my dressing table. I think it looks good. Make sure that you get a front lit mirror - the back lit ones won't give you enough light.
