Living room - run out of inspiration

We've moved and are doing up our new house - new kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and decor in every room. I have run out of inspiration completely for my living room - it feels a bit of an awkward room, and it's upstairs and carpeted, something I have never had in a living room before. My brain is tired of deciding things.

What do you do when you lack inspiration? I'd rather plough on and get it finished rather than live with it as it is. Is there some AI tool that can start me off? Or some mad cheap interior designer that would do just one suburban living room?

I tend to have a particular style in mind such as Scandi, maximalist, traditional etc I then look up examples of those styles for ideas.

What natural light does it get?

Not the plants, the crisp, fresh walls.

Start with the carpet if you are not replacing it. Take a tone which is complementary for the walls, put them side by side. Then see what they remind you of : a particular landscape, a place, a painting. Use that to work with as your base to add features or accessories.

I like this space visualizer https://interior-design3d.com/space-planning-software.php
It has options to design bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens etc, and if you have a plan you can just upload it in there and the model will be built automatically. It's always easier to work on planning and design when you have an idea of how it's going to look like.

Well, presumably you have some givens, like the aspect and existing furniture? Is it an old house? How much light does it get?
