Rug for an office

Possibly a silly question but is a rug ok for an office with a swivel chair or will the chair ruin it? Would like to make my office feel a bit cosier. Thanks

We have a rug under a swivel chair, mainly to protect the carpet. It does get rucked up or creep every so often and we need to move the chair off and reposition it. But otherwise works fine and the rug doesn’t get ruined (unlike the pile carpet under it which was getting worn). Suggest a flatweave rug in a fairly tough material like jute or sisal, ours is a sisal/wool mix I think.
