Glass partition doors (am I mad?!)

We are renovating our house. We have changed the configuration downstairs but I need to split 2 spaces. I ideally want to be able to open them up when I need to. I'm imagining a wall of black and glass doors that completely opens up (bifold or similar) the width is 3.7m. My project manager is telling me to leave it open, but I know I won't use the spaces that way. He also said that doors will be in the region of £10,000 as it is such a big space to fill. Has anyone done similar? I'm fine with high cost, but I would rather it come in at half that price! Can anyone help with this or recommend somewhere that can measure, supply and fit themselves? I'm on London/Hertfordshire borders. Attaching a photo of the look I want, but it will be a wider space and will need to reach the ceiling.

As a cleaner my only thought is that would be a nightmare to keep clean! Especially with small kids or pets, if you can afford it and like it this is the only other thing I’d consider

We had similar back in the 80s, but frosted. They were very useful. They were also well used but now I would question if you don't want open pan don't have open plan.
