Dunelm Blackout/Thermal Ultra Isla curtains

Hi only a couple of years ago, bought beautiful quality, really thick thermal/blackout curtains from Dunelm.

Ordered online current same Dunelm curtains, exact same description & colours. But so much thinner, much lighter weight & awful quality in comparison.

Returned to store, money back, asked staff & they agreed.

Searched FB marketplace, eBay, no joy.
Anybody else found this?
Know where else I can look?

We have thermal curtains downstairs in front of both the front and back doors (small draughty cottage) and then the blackout curtains upstairs in the bedrooms.

The blackout curtains are much much better quality than the thermal curtains which are exactly as you say- really thin and just disappointing quality. We are renting temporarily so it's fine, for now, but I wouldn't buy them again. We bought the blackout curtains at the same time though and they are as you describe - thick and just "nice" so might be worth having another look at dunelm options again and picking v carefully?

I recently bought the Luna thermal blackout curtains from Dunelm I’ve also got the Jennings ones both pairs are really good quality.

Hi thanks very much for your reply, really appreciated. Yes I agree, the thermal blackout curtains now so much thinner. So disappointing. Interesting re the blackout only curtains. Though I did return to Dunelm & had a really thorough look at all their thermal & blackout curtains, and certainly in the velvet look I wanted, nothing the same. Thanks very much again.

I bought Dunelm Isla Blackout Ultra curtains in July 2023,
They are a really thick, heavy velvet, superb quality.
I don't know if they still do them or if they are still the same, but I highly recommend them

Yes they're definitely the ones I bought. Absolutely love them. For my lounge window down to the floor. Now I want the same but different colour for my patio doors, but so much thinner. The two members of staff I spoke to sadly agreed.
