Sofa help!

I found this sofa on DFS’s website and fell in love with it. I went into the store last night to try and it was as comfy as I’d imagined (with the firmer foam cushions), but, and this is a big BUT, it just seems so low! My husband hasn’t tried it (works away and we need a sofa after ours broke) but was happy for me to go ahead with it if I loved it, but Im just worried about the low seat height.

Has anyone here got this sofa and, if so, does the low height bother you? Or can anyone recommend a similar sofa but just a bit higher?

I was after the chaise and the cuddler chair but the store didn’t have these on display, so I only sat on the regular 3 seater.

Do you have any older visitors? They might ask for a dining chair.

You can buy sofa height extenders.

@Mosaic123 yes, our parents are elderly and that was one of my concerns as I didn’t want my dad especially to struggle getting up.

@Meecrowahvey thank you - I will have a look at this option

Also depending on how large your living room is, bear in mind the low base with no gap between the bottom of the sofa and the floor / no legs will give the illusion of there being less space in the room and make the living room look smaller. This might not be an issue for you if the room is particularly large.

Ask DFS if there's an option to change the legs.

Thanks all. I went back this evening with husband in tow and he agreed it was much I too low. We ended up with the FC Carlisle in Moss instead - much more comfy!
