Floor cushion for lounge

We have a small lounge that we hardly use. It has a computer desk & chair and a small bookshelf. I have been thinking of making a reading nook in there, to shut off the mess in open plan living/kitchen, and the loud TV noise. Basically, looking for a cozy place to just read and crochet. I have been looking at sofa/couches, and came across this Floor cushion concept and instantly got intrigued by the idea. My daughter and I loved this, and we always do this - have folded duvet, surround ourselves with cushions and read. Now i am thinking why can't I arrange several floor cushions in the whole room (instead of just one corner) by the wall in U-shape , with a cozy rug in the middle. (like in the image attached) I am warming up to this idea, so would like to get suggestions like :
Has anyone done this? Is it practical? Do you struggle with cleaning? Any advice on the kind of cushions I could get, and preferably cheaper..

@ComfortFoodCorner I think what you have show looks very cosy. My only thought is those floor cushions could move apart and might constantly need repositioning Oh I don't mean to rain on your parade because I can see exactly where you are going with it and my comment probably says more about me than it does about you ) What about four IKEA Hemnes single Mattresses. Do two stacked ( for height) for each side of an L shape and have a zipped cover made to keep them together for each stacked two and then a really nice bean bag to make up the U ( if that makes sense. ) I have probably explained that very badly indeed.

Thank you for the suggestion. No I didnt think you are discouraging, I welcome all suggestions and advice to help think clearly, before I go on purchasing cushions..
The IKEA mattress is a good idea - the cushiions shown in the pic are not comfortable to sit on, and also it would be nice to have something to lean on. IKEA mattress for sitting and these for leaning back. I also saw some bear hug pillows that goes around the back would be a nice touch. Also the one like the image attached, could go in the corners. Thank you for the bean bag idea, my daughter would love it...

Feel like it's all coming together now...
