I’ve got two dogs so I’m getting rid of downstairs carpets as the mud and hair is driving me insane. I want to put Karndean or something similar down but will LVT get scratched by the dogs? Anyone any advice or experience with this? TIA

Ours got scratched during installation, maybe a dodgy batch, but we weren't happy and it definitely wasn't family life friendly so ripped it out straight away and put tiles down instead.

We had Karndean in our old house - and it did scratch (baby/toddler) we have a dog now and our wooden floor hasn't got scratched).

I am thinking on this too. We have parquet currently, which is the original 70s and in pretty dire state of repair. I have been looking at LVT but was concerned about scratches.

I am minded to go for wood effect tiles.

So you’ve got wooden floors now? Not sure I can afford them…

I have wood effect Amtico in the kitchen diner which my dog's rather big claws haven't scratched at all in the nearly six years she's lived here.

She has scratched the varnished original floorboards elsewhere though!
