Are these wall lights nice or horrible?

We have wall lights in the living room of our new house with no ceiling light. So need to decide if we stick with all lights or remove them and the wiring, repair the walls and then run a new cable through to fit a ceiling light.

These have just come up on my feed and I can’t decide how I feel about them. The fact they are so cheap is helpful

Really not sure what I want to do and need some inspiration.

Are these wall lights nice or horrible?

Keep looking

Not nice I'm afraid. There's loads of nice wall lights out there though, so keep searching

When we inherited wall lights I searched and searched. There are nicer ones than what you've picked but I reached conclusion that I was never going to like any wall lights in a reception room. They're useful e.g. near a bed if no room for bedside table + lamp but it does feels a bit like a saloon bar in a living room. If affordable to get the wiring and cosmetics done then I'd go for ceiling lighting plus lamps

You’re all right. I think it was the price that was tempting me but they’re just not nice are they.
@Galliano I think I feel the same way as you and we just need to have a ceiling light installed.

We searched in many different shops I wanted to see them before purchasing. I eventually found some in John Lewis. There’s not a lot of choice out there in actual shops and I didn’t want the hassle of buying online.

Personally i prefer wall lights rather than ceiling lights as I find wall lights can give a softer light whilst ceiling lights, being above seem to be much harsher.

I certainly wouldn't pay to have the wall lghts removed, although you could consider having a ceiling light added with a double switch so you have a choice.

(Mind you, i would change those particular wall lights)
