Sofa Delivery

Hello everyone,

I’m looking to place an order with DFS for a sofa, and I’m hoping for delivery within three weeks. The original sofa I wanted from Sofology had a delivery time of 9 weeks, which is a bit too late for me, and the second option from Sofology had a 6-week delivery, but that’s cutting it a bit close in case of any delays.

I’ve since found a sofa I like from DFS, but I’ve noticed some concerns in the comments on their Instagram post. Quite a few people have mentioned delays in delivery (sometimes for months), cancelled orders, and rescheduled deliveries. I understand no company is perfect, but the volume of these comments has me wondering whether I should avoid them.

Has anyone here had any recent experiences with DFS, particularly in the past few months to a year, regarding their delivery times? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience, and whether they stuck to the delivery window they initially provided.

We were told five weeks by DFS and it took closer to ten! I would be very sceptical that DFS will deliver in three weeks (unless it’s ex-display). We bought this summer, took delivery in October.

Oh my gosh, that's awful. It's double. The sofa isn't ex display, so my concern is the delivery date rather than the promise. Such a shame.

It was fairly annoying as we’d booked the BHF to take away some of the old furniture, just before the scheduled delivery date, so then we had to make do with hard chairs until the new stuff arrived.
