Victorian tenement flat - solid shutters and curtains

Apologies for the very niche question!

We have moved into a Victorian flat with a massive bay window in the living room, complete with sash and cash windows and the original solid wooden shutters.

We would like to be able to use the shutters still (they are great for keeping the room warm) but want to add curtains to make it feel a bit cosier.

We can’t work out how best to do this without interfering with the shutters. Has anyone else done this? Grateful for any tips!!

You can get heavy duty swing arm curtain rods, which might work here. Google folding curtain poles.

You really won't need the curtains

Not so much we need them but we like the look.

Would a normal bay window curtain pole not be ok? Our shutters fold so it would be fine to open and close them with normal curtains as long as there was nothing on the windowsill.
