Decorating living room - help!

Help! So Im looking to redecorate my living room and I just don’t have a clue in paint colours / what goes well with what!

I have 2 DC (older primary aged) and a dog, so need to have a couch which would wear well with possible dog hair / dropped food etc. I really like this couch, and was wondering if it would pair well with this Laura Ashley Wallpaper and the pearl paint (I already have curtains from Next in the “natural” colour). My living room is quite bright with 3 windows which let in a lot of light, and I would wallpaper just one wall, with the rest painted.

I would need a rug (any suggestion?) but would this paint / wallpaper and couch go well together? I have a book case, wooden TV stand, wooden coffee table and a small wooden unit as well, and love real plants.

Lovely! I like colourful accessories in a room so for me I'd definitely want some big lush green plants and then maybe add some plain or striped/geometric cushions in a deep pink or something.
Deep green rug? Or a cream / light beige fluffy rug. What colour is your dog?
Paint could be either of the two natural shades of the wallpaper - I always like light so probably just match the background of the wallpaper. Post the after when it's done!

Not geometric throw cushions as the sofa has them already! But plain pink oversized would be nice or a deep terracotta shade

Good ideas @Userxyd - I love the idea of pink cushions! I will definitely post an update when I’ve redecorated 🙂

Hi @Flowersforyourchocolateprettyplease so I didn't actually go for this couch in the end - I tried it out in the showroom and it was so low, my son had to help me up off the ground 😂I ended up going for a moss green couch (this one) and kept my current wallpaper. The couch I chose is SO comfy and I love it - would recommend!

Nothing worse than a low sofa, have one now after buying without trying during covid. It's a workout and looking to sell it😅.
