What to place above radiator.

Hi everyone.

Can you help- I've a dead space and would like to do something about it. I've purchased and oak shelf to go above the radiator, but no idea what to put on the wall above.

I don't really have a budget - can you all send me some ideas .

I don't want to put pics up as the house is going on the market so don't really want them in the house shots.

I always put radiator shelves above radiators.

Given the choice I wouldnt have radiators I view them as hugely intrusive and difficult to work around

Particularly hate them under windows as all our curtains are floor length so you end up with the heat being behind the curtain and up through the window area

Some plants to complement the plants already in pots on the floor? Maybe one or 2 that trail down and one that grows up
