Attractive duvet for spare room with almost black carpet

Recently moved house and the spare room (loft room) with one small window has a very dark grey, almost black, carpet. There's some dark grey built in furniture and walls are a lighter grey. No time or funds to make changes at present.

The bedroom will rarely be used but would like the room to look as attractive as possible and thinking an attractive duvet cover would help transform it (hopeful).

Could you guide me towards some possible duvets please. No idea about colour / pattern etc. Links appreciated.

I'd be inclined to go for a bright colour since you've got neutrals around the room. Something like this, maybe Mandalay Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set | Dunelm. You could also use the colour in the duvet in a rug that was yellow and grey, for example, to match the duvet and walls, and that would brighten the room up.

I'd go for white with some kind of white textured pattern on it. Timeless.

Honestly wouldn’t go for yellow with grey. Horrible combination. Agree a lovely pure white cotton would be best.
Grey is difficult to add colour to. Maybe navy sometimes or plum. Grey duvet cover is depressing so just go white.
Maybe a few accents in sage green if that works. Cushions and a vase or something. A small chair and a rug.
