We are about to replace our stairs and landing carpet. I love the stair runners which have the border on, however I know that it will just gather dust and dogs hair in my house. I am not a great/dedicated cleaner.
I have seen a few photos online where they have added the contrasting border to carpet that covers the whole width of the stairs.
Has anybody done this? Do you have any photos? I am intrigued as to how they do it. I presume they come and measure the stairs then cut the carpet add the border and then bring it back just to fit? Did it cost substantially more than the carpet without the border? Did you have the border just up the stairs or also on the landing area, I have seen photos of both? Are you happy with it?
Any experiences of this would be much appreciated?
We are going to use this carpet. I didn't entirely trust what I read about them so put neat bleach on one sample, it dried fine, got another very wet, again no issues left. I rubbed another in the mud and squished it propper in, let it dry, brushed it off and then wiped with a wet cloth and it looked as good as new. I am sold! Again would love to hear from anybody who has got the unnaturale flooring caprpet, has it held up ok?

Below are picks I have seen where it is edge to edge, although we wont be having black contrast, it will be something a bit closer to the carpet, but would love to see some more photos if anybody has done it.
