I’m stuck between getting a pocket spring or a memory foam mattress for my 160x200 bed. Any advice on which is better?

I’d choose pocket sprung. Memory foam is too hot in summer.

Defininitely pocket.

Pocket spring with a totally seperate memory foam topper that's what we've gone for. Hypnos matteress with a Panda topper best of both worlds as you've the support of the pocket springs but the nice squishiness of the memory foam.

Memory foam runs hot.

Hey! It really depends on what you’re looking for. Pocket spring mattresses are great for support and ventilation – they don’t trap heat like memory foam, so they’re better if you sleep hot. Plus, they’re ideal if you like a bit of bounce in your mattress. Memory foam is softer and molds to your body, but it can feel too warm and less responsive.

Last year we bought a Dormeo octaspring hybrid , I still have a non foam topper on top but it is really comfortable

I prefer pocket spring but that might just be choice.

I used to be all about the memory foam, but I noticed that I wasn't sleeping as well, because I kind of got stuck in one position, and woke up aching (the opposite effect of the one they're supposed to have), plus it was very hot, and my ex's side had been sunken in (he weighed a lot) and never recovered.

So I went with the most expensive Ikea pocket sprung and a softer topper, and it's been perfect - much cooler, dealt with ex's weight (before he became ex) without sinking (I do rotate it every now and then)

tldr - I thought I preferred foam, but it turns out I prefer pocket-spring.

Memory foam just doesn't last. My DD bought an Emma mattress and within 2 years it had totally sagged. They got their money back and bought a pocket spring.

We have always have pocket spring mattresses - our most recent mattress is 12 years old and still supportive and comfortable

Pocket spring

Try and go to a showroom to try some out. There are do many variations on spring density, spacing and springiness that it's best to try them out.

You can browse options here: sleepinghouse.pl/180-materace-kieszeniowe-160x200 – they’ve got a variety, and you can see what fits your needs.

I have a hybrid, works for me.
If you have a lot of sex then sprung.
