Wall colour with these curtains and this sofa

It's a pretty big room. Cream would be the obvious choice but it's so boring. Any suggestions please? I'm shit at this.

I would go the same colour as the brown/beige in the curtains but you could try pink if you are feeling bold.

I was going to suggest a subtle brown/beige. How dark I'd go would depend on the aspect of the room and how much natural light it gets.

I'd get a whole load of paint swatches to compare to the curtains, and maybe even some sample tins.

On the other hand, if you have a rug on the floor, is there a colour in that which would work well on the walls? We did more-or-less that in our living room, though used a brighter version.
