Duvet 10.5 tog

We move in 4 weeks (it's been a long road!)

I'd like a really nice duvet for the new house - any recommendations while the sales are on? I hate being hot when trying to sleep but also love to feel 'cosy'. I'm thinking maybe a 7/7.5 tog. I want that feeling when you get into a hotel bed!

(It can't contain animal feathers though)

If you are ok with a different animal product, I would consider sheep's wool. It is heavier than polyester, so you can get that cozy weighted feeling with a smaller tog. It is also better if you have a dust mite allergy.

You can buy duvets that "feels like down" so it feels like a feather duvet but doesn't contain any feathers. I haven't tried one but I'm quite interested as I have a feather duvet at the moment and I'm fed up with the feathers falling out.

I don't want animal at all really.

I've seen the 'feels like down' ones - sound good but I wonder if they actually are ?

We’ve just bought a Silentnight Airmax Duvet, 10.5 Tog - absolutely brilliant. Lovely and thick but feels light and keeps me cool which I need thanks to my perimenopause.

I find 10.5 tog just a bit too warm. My house is cool/not overheated but I still get too hot.

Bedeck of Belfast microfibres duvets are amazing.

I got a 10.5 tog microfibre from John Lewis, it's a great weight and lovely and soft.

I mean, it’s a boring answer but my first thought on getting into bed under my new M&S 7.5 tog supremely washable duvet was “ooh this is like being in a hotel”.

But if I wanted the feeling that I’d got myself a treat-y duvet after a stressful house buying process I’d probably not want M&S! Maybe see if any hotels you particularly liked mention their bedding suppliers?

Thank you everyone! Lots to look into - I knew you would all help!!

Wool duvets are great. Love my Baavet one.
