Had a quote for 14 k to have the whole house done in Amtico Spacia
Is this reasonable? It's a 3 bedroom house with 3 bathrooms and 2 living rooms large kitchen diner.
That includes all rooms and fitting / VAT very good reviews for the company

For what it’s worth, a flooring store staff member in south London said I should expect to pay around £30 a metre for laminate to be fitted by a local handyman type person (the kind who doesn’t charge VAT!)

But there are variables like whether you need to level subfloors, what’s being done with skirting boards/scotia and if there’s a guarantee on the work, so think it would be really hard to say what’s reasonable even knowing the square footage.

Seems like quite a lot. About 2 years ago we had the entire ground floor of our house done in high quality engineered wood plus new skirting for a bit less than that. Total ground floor area about 1,800 sq ft and included some fiddly bits with steps between areas on separate levels…

This is for 120 square meters which is 1300 square foot and is for the bottom of the range amtico so does seem high in comparison

I don’t know currently how much it is to buy per square meter but 10 years ago the rough ball park was double it for fitting. It will depend on what needs to be done to prep like installing board and levelling compound.
