New kitchen help!

Hi,

I have a housing association house and it really needs a new kitchen, I'm having the plinths replaced next week as they are just buggered through previous water damages from previous tenant, but to be honest the whole kitchen needs to be renovated but the housing are reluctant to replace it they will just keep repairing repairing.

Now I've rang them and asked about this but they have said that they change kitchens every 20 years! I've got to wait till 2029 and the kitchen is honestly bugging me, I would if I could do it myself but I don't have a few grand spare. Is there anyway to get around this at all? It's been clear since moving here that the previous tenant lost the love for this house as I have had soo much work done on it since moving in February, I'm one of those house proud people I like my home to look nice and I always look after my home.

I was just wondering if anyone would be able to give me some advice in regard to maybe helping push a new kitchen?

Please no nasty comments or digs I'm just asking for some advice.

I think the best and kindest advice is probably to take a big step back and count your blessings.
