Wallpaper to go with F&B Babouche

We've just painted the living room in this bright cheery yellow which is lovely, if taking a few days of getting used to! It's quite a change from the very demure, grown-up grey-blue that was in here before.

I was hoping to keep the wallpaper on the back wall which we inherited, but it isn't really working. The gold just clashes a bit with the yellow.

I'm not usually a fan of a feature wall, but I think doing the whole room in this yellow might be too much. The problem is, I can't find a wallpaper that will work nicely with the yellow. In the adjoining playroom we've also got Babouche with a Downpipe (dark green/grey) wall which looks lovely.

Yes, I see what you mean. Wallpaper is very much a personal taste, but how about this?

You say the current navy one doesn't match (agree) then you've ordered 2 navy and a (too similar) yellow?

I'd go for something like this with hot pink accents in the room

There is zero chance my husband will go for a hot pink situation, and I definitely want animals and not fruit. The emoji jokes would go on for years, quite apart from anything else.

The elephant paper is teal, not navy.

I've got some more samples arriving but that's my favourite so far. The middle one is growing on me but I think it's a bit too gold. The far right is out though.

Ah 😂 I liked the one on the far right the best.

The pink combined with yellow on th middle (monkey) one makes me feel a big queasy.

Well it's a lovely colour so that'll look nice too.

That's exactly what I would do. There's something not quite right with feature wall paper walls.
