We are having our kitchen templated tomorrow for marble but are unsure where to put our tap? Would you

A - Put it central with the sink?
or
B - Central with the window?

Thanks in advance

Central with the window I think but neither are ideal. I know it’s too late for this, but I probably would have centred the sink in the window and had a half cupboard to the right of it to make it fit. Sorry!

sauvignonplonk1 · 24/11/2024 21:40

Husband and I both think A!

Dox9 · 24/11/2024 21:40

B looks better I think.
But will the water stream end up very close to the back of the sink if the tap is at the corner and angled towards the centre?

TommyandGina · 24/11/2024 21:47

Neither, can you have option C, the corner on the left of the sink so that the window isn't obscured?

Ilovemyshed · 24/11/2024 21:59

Neither is right. Personally I would move the cupboards so the sink is central on the window, it looks so wrong.

EffinMagicFairy · 24/11/2024 22:05

I agree the sink needs to be in line with the window, then the tap central, sorry!

JamMakingWannaBe · 24/11/2024 22:12

If they haven't attached the door handles yet, ask them to change the ones under the sink to run horizontally to match your dishwasher. It can look very disjointed otherwise.

Note** Units had to go where they are due to lack of space and as a result it couldn’t be lined up with the window

Can you have a bigger window put in to make the sink central? If you considered this you could put make the window taller so the window sill is flush with the worktop and the marble would be cut into your window making that area look bigger, it makes any light bounce off the worktop, will try attach an image.

Me too.

B. Taps in the corner of a sink can be more practical anyway and it looks better with the window

lolly07766 · 24/11/2024 22:59

I think B looks better

Lindy2 · 24/11/2024 23:07

Both look fine but I'd go with B.

The cupboards and sink position are just fine. No ones going to be analysing whether the sink and window line up. Honestly they really are not.

The units look lovely.

doihaveacase · 24/11/2024 23:10

I say B looks nicer visually. If possible get a tao where the end pops out so you can clean more easily.

daffodilandtulip · 25/11/2024 08:42

Could it go on the left so it's not in front of the window at all?

MeanMrMustardSeed · 25/11/2024 08:48

OP: A or B?
MN: C (££ to change units) or D (£££ o change window) 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

I would go with B.
