Wall beside loo...

I've just converted a junk/tool room with an adjoining loo at the back of the garage into a hobby room. It was the domain of the man of the house, and he obviously used the loo quite a lot. I've been scrubbing down the walls, and find the paint on the plaster board wall right beside the loo is pitted with lots of tiny spots as if it has been attacked by acid. It was pretty grubby, and I'm wondering of human urine does this sort of damage to paintwork? Obviously I'll sand it down and repaint, but just curious...

I think it does. When we moved in here we noticed the radiator next to the loo had the same sort of marks as you describe. Had to get a new rad.

@ThreeDoorsDown
Thanks for that! Euurrgghh. I'll be masking/goggling up to sand the wall...
