Springs in leather armchair

Bought a excellent quality and expensive 4 year old leather armchair which has been fine for the last two months, but now it's almost as though the padding in the middle of the seat pat has melted away and it feels like spring and then leather on top with nothing to pad. The edges and everywhere else is fine but the main seat is so uncomfortable. Any ideas what could have caused this as the foam has been there for two months and now it's as if it's just disappeared!

If it is expensive and good quality I would be contacting the company you bought it from. Sounds like the upholstery foam they used has failed and it needs reupholstering. Unless it has had abnormally heavy usage that really shouldn't have happened in 4 years.

Unfortunately we bought it off a private seller on eBay. It has been fine for the last two months since we've had it but it is as though the foam has broken down and gone through the springs

Unfortunately I don't think there is much you can do then, other than pay to get it reupholstered yourself.
