Best neutral colour for kitchen/dining/living area

We are currently making a kitchen/dining/living area. It will be south-facing. The kitchen units will be a darkish green with a light worktop. Floor will be oak.
I don’t want white walls. I would like to use the same colour on the ceiling too. Could anyone recommend a colour you have used that you love? Thank you!

Farrow and Ball drop cloth, skimming stone, ammonite, elephants breath and shaded white are all beautiful neutrals.

Our kitchen and floor is the same colour (dark green units with quartz top and oak floor.) We used dimity from F&B but we were taken by surprise about how soon they had to order the paint so we just went with it as it was the holy one we had tested! I would have gone for something a bit lighter and more cream toned on reflection.

We have pointing in the hall and stairs and I think that would have been a better match

Thank you both for your suggestions! :) I will have a look at all those.

Another vote for F&B Drop cloth or the lighter Shaded White. Great neutrals that are really versatile. We have Drop cloth in our open space area and love it.

Bumping this for more ideas as we have a similar situation. Has anyone tried F&B Stirabout?

I’m wondering if F&B Setting Plaster might be quite a nice colour. Still fairly neutral but with some colour.
