Where are people buying secondhand sofas? Facebook marketplace seems to be full of scammers selling sofas that they won’t let you view using new profiles. It makes it painful to weed out the genuine posts.

In the same position as you, OP. So many scammers and dodgy companies.

I miss the Bargain Pages, a newspaper with lots of ads in it.
I'll keep looking in newsagent windows, supermarket notice boards etc.

I bought a decent one from my local YMCA shop. British Red Cross also has furniture stores. Ebay and Gumtree are other options.
You can search on FBM by condition, so if you look for used you are less likely to encounter the scammers.
