Hi folks.
Newly plastered wall.
Advice on tin says 1 part water to 9 parts paint for mist coat. Followed instructions but it’s definitely not looking like a mist coat.
Anyone got any experience? Are the instructions perhaps wrong? Should we ignore them & go 50/50?

Yes. Go for more water.

1 to 9 seems wrong to me but I’m not a professiona. I don’t use a set ratio but make it thin enough that it soaks in. If it doesn’t soak in then there is too much paint.
