Swoon toxic chemicals

I just wanted to describe my experience with swoon. I bought a sofa from them, without thinking much about the chemicals. I have been trying to find out which fire retardants are they using, and they just don't provide me with the information since 6 months, despite constant chasing and asking. I really think that it is : i) either the do not know what they are selling, ii) the use toxic sprays. I would avoid from afar.

All upholstered products for use in residential homes have to use fire retardant fabrics to comply with current UK Fire Regs. It’s the law so they have no choice and yes they have been proven to be toxic! The only exceptions are natural fibres ie linen cotton but they have to be 75% natural content and they have to use a FR barrier cloth underneath. Hope this helps explain things

There are a few exceptions but this is a very general overview
