Home decoration

Livening up a grey new build

My house is about 7 years old and everything is grey (floors, carpet, kitchen units) or magnolia (walls). I have lots of bright art and wood/natural texture downstairs.
I need to do some redecorating, and would like to bring more personality in. I think colour looks great in older homes, and considered a bright contrast in window alcoves/door surrounds, but will be a weird contrast with all the grey in a new build. Any ideas/inspiration?
thank you.

Go and look at some new builds for some inspiration. Avoid mainstream shops like next and try and add more sentimental/personal or boutique shop items that make it feel more homely xx

Thank you! Sorry I wasn’t clear, I just need to redecorate (paint) - have lots of lovely furniture etc.

Take a key colour/colours from your favourite piece of art or furnishing item (rug for eg) in the room and use that as your colour scheme inspiration. There are lots of new build interior accounts on Instagram, some are bound to have a style you like. Use the search box for hashtags.
