Loaf or Sofa.com

I’ll start by apologising if this thread has been done a dozen times before…but I could really use your thoughts/ advice.

I’m about to spend a significant sum of savings on a sofa and given the investment want to make sure I don’t later regret my decision. I am torn between the squishmeister sofa from Loaf and the Teddy Sofa from Sofa.com.

I’ve read so reviews from unhappy Loaf customers. It seems the only way the sofas remain looking nice is if you don’t actually sit on them?! A lot of people talk about the constant need for plumping to make it look decent.

However, I’ve also read mixed reviews about sofa.com albeit not as bad as the Loaf reviews.

Having never owned a sofa from either nor knowing anyone who has a sofa from either place, I wanted some advice.

Both come with a significant price tag so would really appreciate any advice about these sofas.

I’ve been to show rooms for both and am still torn.

thanking you in advance.

Also to add,

sofa.com have 20% off until 31st October so keen to get an order in before then, if it’s the one to go for.

The back cushions on both are 100% feather so will need plumping every single day to look nice. The seat cushions are feather wrapped foam so should be better but will still flatten over time. It’s really down to personal preference but I have a scatterback sofa with foam cushions and even that’s a pain to keep looking nice.

Love my Sofa.com sofa.

It is 5 years old and looks like new.

However, the sofa that was delivered didn’t feel as soft and squishy as the one in the showroom (could be my imagination) and I did have to have the legs replaced because the ones that it arrived with were all discoloured.

The leg swap out was easy and quick with no quibbles.

Thank you both so much. I’ve been reading as many reviews as I can, and it seems that sofa.com have the overall better reviews all round. I think I’m leaning towards sofa.com
