What colour wall paint for this kitchen?

I'm really undecided on what colour to paint my kitchen walls because my kitchen cupboards are quite an odd colour, a mix of greige/pink. I've tried to attach some photos in a few different lights. Also attached a photo of my floors.
Not afraid of colour but muted tones rather than vibrant!

The green of the Mumsnet OP background works well with the floor

Dulux Overtly Olive which is a lovely sage green.

Ohyay · 20/10/2024 08:43

Yes to overtly olive!

Meadowfinch · 20/10/2024 08:43

It's similar to mine.

I have three white walls and then the wall that is covered in units, I have bright turquoise. It adds a limited amount of bright colour.

The rest of the kitchen is fairly neutral, grey porcelain tiles floor, white flecked composite work tops. It's a sunny room with French windows and sky lights so lots of light.

But then I like cheerful rooms. The trend for grey makes me cringe. 🤗

We have Johnstone's Hemlock (green). It looks very classy.

Flopsy145 · 20/10/2024 08:58

Thank you guys just had a look and not a huuuge fan of overtly olive but I think a slightly greener sage could work!

Me too @Meadowfinch I'm lucky in my new build that they put warm white walls and beige carpets rather than grey so it's much easier to brighten up! Although I do have a desire to paint my downstairs loo q very dark aubergine and make it a bit gothic haha

I had found this when looking for a hallway colour but maybe this could work?

If the cupboards are pinky grey then you need to be careful not to go too cold in the green colour otherwise it'll clash horribly. You need a warmer green.

That's the colour of overtly olive in real life

LoafofSellotape · 20/10/2024 09:31

It's lovely the Dunelm one anyway, go for it!

That's very similar to the colour we have in our kitchen, with similar coloured cupboards, I love it!

We had overtly olive in our last kitchen. We’ve decided on dulux willow tree this time much smaller space so hopefully it’ll make it feel light and airy.

I hadn't thought of that!! Thank you!

We have Dulux Jurrasic Stone which looks a bit fresher than overtly olive in our north facing kitchen. Used to be available on the shelf but might need to get it mixed now

TentEntWenTyfOur · 20/10/2024 16:03

I'm with everybody else - some sort of sage green.

DreadingWinter · 21/10/2024 10:15

I've got pinky grey in my new build. I've gone with a F&B dark blue. It looks great.

Attelina · 21/10/2024 11:01

If you want green then a pale but bright green like this

That’s a gorgeous shade of green.

loobylou10 · 21/10/2024 16:28

The green you've pictured is exactly like overtly olive. We have it all over.

user2848502016 · 21/10/2024 16:56

A muted pink or sage green would look nice
