Nay, because when we needed a new shower hose and head my DH inexplicably bought black ones and it looked absolutely shocking alongside the chrome fixings in the bathroom. Lasted about 3 days before the twitch overtook me and I went and bought chrome.

Depends. I live in a g hard water area.

black shower fittings DO show white but kitchen tap and the bathroom taps don’t. I can’t explain it.

We bought black taps about two years ago, admittedly they were cheap ones, but the black is already chipping off on places and looks a bit shit.
